I just missed posting about this fabulous event. But wanted to give a shout and thanks to the EHS Field Hockey team. And it isn’t too late to help, please donate food to the GlenEd Pantry.
EHS Field Hockey is encouraging you to get involved however you can, including through the below ideas:
WEAR ORANGE throughout the month!
· Take a picture in your orange outfit and share it with @ehs_fieldhockey #HungerAction
· If you don’t want to wear an orange outfit, how about an orange ribbon?
Volunteer at your local food bank. http://glenedpantry.org
TAKE THE SNAP CHALLENGE and live on just $4.50 a day.
- Get a sense of what life is like for those struggling to put food on the table by shopping for your meals with the daily average per person benefit provided by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as Food Stamps).

At the game on September 17th Edwardsville collected canned good donations to also donate to the local Glen-Ed Food Pantry; their goal was to collect more than 500 pounds of canned goods! During Edwardsville’s Orange and Black game on August 19th, they collected about 340 pounds of canned goods and donated them to the Glen-Ed Food Pantry!
Please contact Coach Tyler at jtyler@ecusd7.org if you would like to purchase a t-shirt.
