Do you know an individual who needs something to help them continue their own “charitable” work? Maybe a retired man who needs scraps of wood to make toys for children. Natalie Anderson is collection donations at the Goshen Market – email her at anderson13nat@gmail.com to see when she will be there and for a complete list of items she collects for TerraCycle or if you have ANY questions.
TerraCyle can divert these haircare, cosmetics, skincare, personal hygiene, household cleaner, Brita, writing instruments, food storage, energy bar wrappers, cereal, and snack bag items from landfills and turn them into usable products, like backpacks and park benches. This is your solution for all of those plastic and foil-lined items that aren’t accepted by your local recycling collection programs, which you’ve always had to throw into your trash.

Bags for Cancer patients
I’m collecting items to create bags to take to cancer patients in the hospital over the holidays. I’ll attach a letter I’ve been sending to businesses with more details. Basically, I’m looking for promotional items from businesses (hats, cups, key chains, pens, etc.) and other items like:
*Gum/Mints
*Cozy socks/hats
*Lotions/Lip Balms
*Silly Putty/Stress Balls
*Crossword Puzzle Books
I know businesses are usually willing to donate items with their logo as free advertisement. This is a great opportunity! Please help spread the word and contact me with any questions.

Stuffed Animals in LIKE New Condition
Used for nursing home prize gifts and for DCFS(dept of children and family services). They give them to children when they are taken out of homes.
I would appreciate donations of stuffed animals, yarn, newborn baby clothes. Also, anyone able to crochet the blankets- contact me and I can give you more details.

Our local American Heritage Girl’s troop will be hosting a packing party for Operation Christmas Child on November 19th. We are collecting new and very gently used items for kids ages 2-14 to be packed into shoe boxes and sent around the world. There is a collection tub at my house.
